The Role
Robertson Wright is working with a specialist independent M&A advisory firm looking to appoint an experienced Manager or Associate Director to its London team.
This is a hands-on execution role for someone who can take ownership of transactions and act as the engine room of the deal team. You will work closely with the firm’s Partners, clients, and junior bankers across live buy-side and sell-side mandates.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day execution of M&A transactions from initial preparation through to completion
- Manage financial analysis, valuation work, transaction materials, and due diligence processes
- Coordinate clients, buyers, investors, and external advisers throughout a transaction
- Delegate effectively to Analysts and review their work
- Develop junior team members through active coaching and supervision
- Identify key issues early and keep transactions moving against demanding timetables
- Support Partners with pitches, client development, and new mandate preparation

The Platform
The firm operates a lean, entrepreneurial model, advising management teams, shareholders, and investors on complex transactions. Its structure gives senior execution bankers significant responsibility, direct client exposure, and close access to the Partners. This opportunity should appeal to someone who enjoys taking ownership, working with limited bureaucracy, and having a visible impact on both transactions and the development of the wider team.
Candidate Profile
- Strong M&A execution experience gained within an investment bank, corporate finance adviser, or established lead advisory team
- Currently operating at experienced Manager, Senior Manager, or Associate Director level, or ready to make that step
- Demonstrable experience leading transaction workstreams and managing deals day to day
- Confident delegating to and supervising Analysts
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and presentation skills
- Commercial, organized, and comfortable managing senior clients and multiple stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial mindset and able to work effectively from an evolving or incomplete brief
