ABOUT D&A STRATEGY AT LSEG:
The D&A Strategy team partners with the D&A Leadership Team, Group Corporate Strategy, and Group Corporate Development to shape the overall business strategy of the division. It helps to determine priorities for organic and inorganic growth, ensures the D&A Product and Community vertical functions have strategies coherent with and informed by that of the Group and Division, and leads strategic review and initiatives.
Joining the team, you will be right in the ‘nerve centre’ of LSEG D&A as it completes the mission of being the leading provider of trusted data, analytics and actionable insights for customers across financial markets.

ROLE PROFILE:
We are seeking a high-performing and collaborative leader to join the team as a Senior Strategy Manager. This role is responsible for driving high-profile strategic initiatives across the LSEG Data & Analytics division. This is a high visibility role, requiring interaction with C-level executives and extensive collaboration with a broad range of leaders across the Group.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Lead a portfolio of central initiatives and reviews on topics that are either a/ transversal and Product & Community in nature or b/ focused within one business area but of material strategic importance to D&A, benefiting from independent assessment and in some cases the engagement of external stakeholders
- Drive these initiatives and reviews with the sponsorship of D&A Leadership Team members and in partnership with leaders across LSEG’s businesses and functions
- Conduct reviews of market trends, emerging technologies and evolving competitive dynamics, informed by internal LSEG subject matter experts and external (primary and secondary) research
- Develop actionable strategies in close partnership with project sponsors and ensure clear accountability within the business for execution
- Prepare executive briefings and cases for investment
- Build strong working relationships with LSEG’s divisional and functional leaders
- Cultivate and draw on relationships with external advisors and consultants
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Thought partnership and problem-solving:
- Critical thinking and ability to tackle complex problems in a structured manner
- Credibility as a thought partner based on a track record of successfully advising and constructively challenging business leaders
Corporate strategy
- Experience of conducting market and competitive landscape assessments and developing group and/or business unit strategies
- Ability to develop clear and pragmatic recommendations and plans
- Experience of conducting commercial due diligence of M&A targets a strong plus
Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Experience of preparing executive briefings and reports for external audiences
Stakeholder engagement and influencing:
- Ability to reach across an organization to bring the right expertise and diversity of perspectives together, adopting a range of operating models with different partners based on context and business need
- Ability to influence executives with insight and respect
Leadership:
- Drive for excellence while leading with trust, openness, inclusivity and humility
- Ability to attract, develop and inspire diverse talent
- Experience of leading virtual, multi-disciplinary teams
Expertise in one or more of the following areas preferred: financial market infrastructure, financial services data, B2B data and analytics businesses, technology transformation, platform business models, big data and cloud, AI.
