The role
Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager in Deals Tax/M&A, you will spearhead bespoke tax advisory services for major transactions. Your expertise will help clients navigate tax implications during mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring. You’ll lead project delivery, develop client relationships, and support business growth initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering tailored tax advice aligned with UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax laws.
- Managing due diligence and structuring for cross-border deals.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships throughout deal cycles.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for integrated deal solutions.
- Mentoring junior staff and sharing your technical knowledge.
- Staying abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends impacting deals and tax strategies.

The ideal candidate
This role is ideal for a seasoned tax professional eager to influence high-profile transactions with a global impact.
- Chartered Accountant (ACA, ICAEW, ICAS, CAI) or Chartered Tax Advisor (ATT, CTA).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in tax consulting focused on M&A, corporate restructuring, or transactions.
- Deep understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and FRS 102 standards.
- Proven track record in cross-border deal advisory and tax planning.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, tax software, and project management tools.
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of tax automation systems and workflow tools.
- Participation in M&A or tax transformation projects would be beneficial.
