Senior Ecommerce Trading Manager

Fable England · Remote (UK) with occasional days in Camden · £48,000–£55,000

About us

Fable England is a lifestyle brand with a distinctive design signature and a loyal customer base. We sell direct to consumer in the UK, US and Europe, alongside a wholesale business. We are a team of passionate professionals, and the work is hands-on and what you do is visible.

The Role

This is a hands-on trading role. You will own the day-to-day commercial performance of our Shopify Plus store across three markets — running experiments, shipping changes, and improving conversion week by week.

You will work alongside our Senior Performance Marketing & Ecommerce Manager, who runs paid media, and our Brand Marketing Director, who owns brand and creative. You will report directly to the Managing Director, and you will have a direct report, with scope to build a small team as the business grows.

We are looking for someone who does the work rather than directs it, and who can tell us what each change was worth.

What you will do

Trading and conversion

  • Own the weekly trading rhythm: what happened against plan, why, and what you are doing about it
  • Run the on-site testing programme — design, build and read A/B tests, act on the results and roll out what wins
  • Own conversion optimisation across product pages, collection pages, cart and checkout, in all three markets
  • Merchandise the site day to day: collections, search and discovery, product sequencing, landing pages for campaigns and launches
  • Keep the site aligned with stock reality — no promoting what we cannot supply

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Markets and platform

  • Manage the US and EU storefront experience, including localisation, delivery and duties messaging
  • Work with our development agency to specify and ship site changes
  • Support organic search execution alongside our SEO work

Channels and team

  • Manage our affiliate programme and agency relationship against an agreed forecast
  • Manage and develop one direct report, with scope to grow the team

Scope may broaden over time — CRM and retention currently sit elsewhere in the team and could move to this role as it establishes.

What we look for

Essential

  • Three or more years running an ecommerce site day to day, ideally Shopify or Shopify Plus
  • Real CRO experience — you have run A/B tests, read them properly, and can talk about the ones that failed as well as the ones that worked
  • Confident in GA4 and site analytics, and able to reach your own conclusions from data rather than reporting it
  • Hands-on with the platform — you can make changes yourself rather than always briefing someone else
  • Able to size your work commercially: what changed, what it moved, and what it was worth
  • Comfortable owning a number and being accountable for it

Helpful

  • Multi-market trading experience, particularly US and EU
  • Experience with merchandising or personalisation tools
  • Basic HTML, CSS or Liquid
  • Fashion, accessories, or another considered-purchase category

How we work

We are direct with each other. We prefer a short answer with a number in it to a long report. If something is not working, we would rather hear it early than discover it late. There is very little bureaucracy here — if you want to change something on the site, you can usually do it quickly.

If you like owning a number and moving it, you will do well here.

Details

  • £48,000–£55,000 depending on experience
  • Remote within the UK, with occasional days at our Camden office in London
  • 28 days’ holiday including bank holidays
  • Private medical insurance
  • Company-wide annual bonus scheme

To Apply

Send your CV and a short note telling us about one change you made to a site: how you knew it worked, and what it was worth.
