Senior Finance & Operations Manager | Hybrid
Leeds | Salary - £55,000 - £65,000
HW Finance is exclusively supporting a growing organisation in the appointment of a Senior Finance & Operations Manager.
This is a broad and highly visible role, providing responsibility across finance operations, regulatory reporting, payroll, cash management and team leadership.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring robust financial control, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance, while supporting the ongoing growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and approve payments across client and corporate accounts
- Manage purchase ledger activity, supplier relationships and payment schedules
- Lead payroll processes and support HR administration, including onboarding and leavers
- Prepare monthly financial and regulatory reporting for senior leadership
- Ensure completion of key compliance and regulatory requirements
- Monitor cash flow, banking activity and funding requirements
- Produce WIP, debtor and aged debt reporting, driving effective cash collection
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Attend senior management meetings, providing insight on financial performance and key projects
- Lead, develop and support a small finance team, including coaching and performance management

We are keen to speak with individuals who can demonstrate:
- Strong experience within finance operations, finance management or legal finance
- Excellent understanding of financial controls, reconciliations and cash management
- Experience of payroll, VAT and regulatory reporting
- A proactive and hands-on approach with the ability to operate across multiple areas of the business
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a team
