About the Role
Perk is a scaling B2B travel booking and expense management platform with global operations. Our Finance team relies on an intricate tech stack, and we seek a hands-on, strategic Senior Manager, Finance Systems to own this ecosystem.
As the owner of NetSuite and related systems, you’ll partner with Accounting, Strategic Finance, and Engineering to optimise operations, integrate systems, and scale efficiently. This high-visibility role impacts how finance operates across the company.
Key Responsibilities
NetSuite – Core Ownership
- Serve as the primary NetSuite system administrator and functional lead.
- Manage configuration, customisation (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SavedSearches), and release management.
- Oversee integration landscape with upstream/downstream systems.
- Drive finance process optimisation (AR/AP, GL, close processes).
- Lead system remediation initiatives (e.g., unapplied cash cleanup, open document resolution).
Finance Systems Ecosystem
- Optimise and evaluate the broader finance technology stack, including AI tools.
- Define and execute the systems roadmap—assess new tools, negotiate with vendors, and retire legacy processes.
- Lead system integration projects end-to-end in partnership with Engineering.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Controls, Compliance & Audit
- Own IT general controls for finance systems under the SOX program.
- Manage user access reviews, segregation of duties, and provisioning workflows.
- Act as the primary auditor liaison (Deloitte, PwC) for system/data queries.
- Maintain SOC inventory and annual vendor reviews for all finance systems.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead system implementations and upgrades, from scoping to go-live.
- Identify and execute automation opportunities to streamline close-cycle processes.
- Develop and maintain systems documentation (data dictionaries, runbooks, process flows).
- Partner with Accounting and FP&A to translate business needs into scalable system solutions.
Qualifications
Essential
- 7+ years of finance systems experience, including ≥4 years as a NetSuite administrator or functional lead.
- Hands-on expertise in NetSuite: workflows, custom records, SuiteScript, saved searches, and reporting.
- Track record of owning cross-system integration projects from requirements to delivery.
- Deep understanding of accounting functions (close cycle, AR/AP, consolidation) and auditor interactions.
- Experience with SOX IT general controls or equivalent compliance/audit work.
- Proven project management skills: multi-workstream ownership, clear communication, and early risk flagging.
- Ability to operate autonomously in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
Highly Valued
- NetSuite certification (e.g., Administrator or ERP Consultant).
- Experience with HiBob, Okta, LeaseQuery, or Carta in finance roles.
- Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
- Familiarity with SaaS, B2B travel/expense technologies.
- Collaborative experience with Big 4 auditors on systems/data queries.
Ideal Candidate
This isn’t a ticket-taking role. You’ll:
- Bring strategic perspective, push back on vague requirements, and proactively identify challenges.
- Be equally at home in configuration screens and CFO meetings, understanding the connection between them.
- Be the right fit if:
- You’re energised by fixing broken processes, not just maintaining working ones.
- You communicate technical details simply and clearly.
- You’re a strong owner: fix issues before they surface as audit findings.
- You thrive with ambiguity, prioritise independently, and build roadmaps iteratively.
