Senior Manager, Finance Transformation

Business Consulting | Belfast or Derry/Londonderry

The Opportunity

Our Finance Transformation team helps organisations transform their Finance functions to become more strategic, agile and value-driven. We help clients deliver sustainable improvements through finance operating model design, shared services, process optimisation, automation, digital technologies, analytics and finance strategy.

As a Senior Manager, you will lead complex transformation programmes, build and strengthen client relationships, drive business development activities, and support the continued growth of our Finance Transformation practice across Northern Ireland and the island of Ireland.

We are seeking ambitious professionals who can demonstrate experience of significant business transformation to work across multiple sectors and specifically those with a strong background in Finance transformation and technology.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of Finance Transformation programmes, from strategy and operating model design through implementation and benefits realisation.
  • Advise clients on finance process optimisation, shared services, Global Business Services (GBS), performance management, automation, and finance technology solutions.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks, identifying opportunities to deliver additional value and expand engagements across EY practices.
  • Drive business development activities, including proposition development, proposal preparation, and sales pursuits.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to enhance client solutions and service offerings.
  • Ensure programmes deliver measurable business benefits and sustainable outcomes.

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience leading large-scale Finance Transformation programmes across strategy, design, implementation, and benefits realisation.
  • Experience in areas such as finance operating models, process improvement, shared services, ERP implementation, automation, budgeting and planning, performance management, and finance reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead complex programmes involving multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Strong business development experience, including client relationship management and proposal development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • A relevant professional qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent international qualification.
  • An MBA or relevant project management qualification, such as PMP or PRINCE2.
