The Role
The global consulting firm is hiring a Senior Manager within its Wealth Management and Retail Investments team, based in London or Edinburgh. The team works with Financial Advice Nationals and Networks, Vertically Integrated LifeCos, D2C and advised investment platforms, and technology and service providers. The team also collaborates with equivalent sector teams globally and with colleagues in other sectors.

- Proposition strategy and design for Vertically Integrated firms on Streamlined Advice offerings
- Greenfield AI design and implementation for a Financial Advice Network
- Distribution strategy for a FTSE 100 Wealth Manager
- Operating model design for a newly created Financial Advice Consolidator
- Business model redesign and customer journey creation for a National Financial Advice and Wealth Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage client engagements from scoping through to delivery, achieving strong client satisfaction ratings alongside a dedicated internal team.
- Develop strategies and deliver high-quality work products within agreed timeframes and budgets.
- Drive client outcomes through a mutually agreed, collaborative approach.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders at client firms and across your wider network.
- Analyse client business needs, identify key issues, and propose solutions and recommendations.
- Provide insight and knowledge across Financial Advice and Retail Investment, covering customer and proposition, regulatory, technology and AI, and operating model topics.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and keep key stakeholders informed of progress and expected outcomes.
- Manage and motivate junior colleagues and support their professional development.
- Stay current on retail investment and financial advice trends relevant to client businesses.
- Articulate the firm's offerings and credentials clearly.
- Contribute to business development activities.
- Manage commercial and financial aspects of engagements, including account management.

Experience
Skills & Experience
- 7–10 years of experience delivering consulting or change projects, gained within a financial institution, consulting firm, or Financial Advice firm.
- Demonstrated experience leading project or programme work, engaging senior stakeholders internally and externally, and managing project resources.
- Significant experience working across Financial Advice, Investment Platforms, or Life and Pension firms.
- Deep project experience in one or more of the following: Client or Adviser Proposition and Strategy, Adviser Efficiency and Productivity, Paraplanning and Administration Operations, Investment Platform, Custody and Dealing, Technology and AI Transformation, or M&A Integration.
- Track record of managing commercial aspects of consulting engagements, including fee negotiations, scope management, and contract adherence.
Skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure and articulate complex messages clearly.
- Ability to influence and lead across client and internal teams.
- Ability to build new client relationships and maintain existing ones, with sound commercial judgement.
- Ability to develop and deliver proposals and pitch materials that convert business development opportunities into mandates.
- Financial modelling and business case development skills, with the ability to translate strategic options into quantified outcomes for senior decision-makers.
