About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Group Financial Crime Oversight team as Senior Manager - Financial Crime Risk Assessments, leading the development and delivery of the Group's Financial Crime Risk Assessment capability.
Sitting within the 2nd Line Risk department, the Senior Manager - Financial Crime Risk Assessment will lead enterprise-wide financial crime risk assessments, customer risk assessments and third-party risk assessment methodologies across AML, sanctions and fraud. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, this key 2LoD role will provide oversight, challenge and insight to strengthen financial crime risk management and support regulatory compliance.
This is a team-led hybrid role with approximately one day per week in either of our fantastic Coventry or Manchester offices.

About You
This opportunity will suit an experienced Financial Crime professional with strong technical expertise, analytical capability, leadership/management experience & stakeholder management skills. You will enjoy bringing data to life, making it informative to influence strategies & approaches.

For this role you'll need to have
- Significant Financial Crime experience within banking or within a similarly regulated financial services environment
- Strong expertise of financial crime risk assessments
- Knowledge of AML, sanctions and fraud risk management
- Leadership experience within a 2nd line Risk or oversight environment
- Senior stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Experience using data, analytics and MI to support risk-based decisions
Experience in these areas would be helpful
- Enterprise-wide risk assessment methodologies
- Customer and third-party risk assessment frameworks
- Financial crime transformation activity
- Regulatory engagement and industry best practice
