About the Role
Join Rathbones at an exciting time as we shape our go-to-market strategy for 2027 and beyond for the intermediary wealth market. This is a high-impact role where you'll lead the development of marketing strategies and campaigns that strengthen our relationships with Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) and drive business growth.
Working closely with stakeholders across Rathbones and the wider Chief Commercial Office, you'll create compelling marketing campaigns, deliver engaging events and webinars, and use data-driven insights to maximise audience engagement. What you’ll be responsible for
- Development and execution of marketing strategies focused on wealth propositions such as discretionary fund management, MPS targeting IFAs (Independent Financial Advisers).
- Create multi-channel marketing plans designed to generate quality leads and increase FUM.
- Collaborate with distribution teams and internal stakeholders to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
- Oversee content creation, ensuring that messaging resonates with IFA audiences, addresses their needs and supports sales efforts.
- Leverage data-driven targeting and prospect database marketing to optimise campaign performance and maximise lead generation.
- Manage and monitor campaigns across digital channels, webinars, events, and social media.
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing initiatives, in alignment with the overall company brand strategy.
- Provide in-depth reporting on campaign performance, offering insights and recommendations for optimisation.
- Stay informed on industry trends and adapt marketing strategies to meet changing market demands.
- Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.

- Excellent understanding of the IFA market and the challenges facing this audience- Essential
- Extensive experience in marketing to IFAs, particularly within the wealth management or financial services sector- Essential.
- Strong understanding of data-driven marketing and lead generation tactics, with expertise in multi-channel marketing, digital marketing, events, and traditional marketing- Essential.
- Good understanding of Salesforce and email marketing tools.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams, including sales and distribution, to align marketing with business objectives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to stakeholders.
- Leadership experience with a proven track record of managing and developing marketing teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and regulatory environment affecting intermediaries.
- Ability to use marketing analytics tools to track and optimise campaign performance.
- Creative and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills, capable of driving innovation in marketing strategies.
