Senior Manager, Fleet
Carnival UK is in search of a Senior Manager, Fleet, who is crucial in supporting our direction and nurturing a high-performing team.
Role Overview
The Senior Manager, Fleet leads a dedicated fleet team (or pod), taking end-to-end responsibility for the technical performance, operational readiness and asset condition of assigned vessels within the Carnival UK fleet. Leading a team of up to 15 colleagues and managing a technical repair and maintenance forecast of approximately £50m, this role works closely with onboard teams, refit and asset colleagues, classification societies and contractors to ensure safe, compliant and reliable vessel operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Leading and developing fleet technical teams to deliver a coordinated and integrated support service across assigned vessels.
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory, classification society, flag state and ISM Code obligations.
- Delivering effective maintenance and repair strategies that optimise vessel availability and operational performance.
- Managing repair and maintenance budgets, forecasting expenditure, identifying efficiencies and supporting commercial performance.

To thrive as a Senior Manager, Fleet, we're looking for:
- Degree or equivalent higher education qualification in a suitable marine or technical discipline.
- STCW III/2 (Chief Engineer) or equivalent qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations.
- Extensive ship management, operational, financial and budget management experience.
