The Role

CSL Seqirus is one of the world's largest influenza vaccine providers, and its finances run in seasons: forecasts, inventory and workforce all move with the flu calendar. This role works alongside the Global Finance Business Partner for Seqirus Commercial and R&D. It provides the analysis, reporting and planning discipline that partnership depends on. You'll turn month-end numbers into a clear account of what drove the result, keep forecast and budget cycles running smoothly across markets, and help build the consistent processes and KPIs that let the business plan with confidence.

Hybrid based (3 days a week in office) in Maidenhead or Liverpool (UK) or Holly Springs, NC or Summit, NJ (US)

Why it matters

Seasonal influenza vaccines are planned, produced and distributed against a hard deadline every year. That makes accurate forecasting, inventory control and labour cost management more than routine finance. When the numbers are right and well explained, the business can direct resources to the markets and programmes that need them. This role helps make that happen. It explains variance rather than simply reporting it, tracks risks and opportunities as the season unfolds, and brings Commercial and R&D reporting onto a common footing. It also involves improving how the work gets done, through standardisation and automation, including AI use cases.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
