Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects team (I&CP) provides market leading commercial and financial advice to the Public and Private sectors. Operating across the Infrastructure, Energy and Public Services sectors – we advise Government on the delivery of key policy initiatives, Technology Transformation and Major Programmes.

The Infrastructure and Capital projects team provides specialist commercial, procurement, finance raising and M&A advice to private and public sector clients. We operate across the infrastructure, energy and public services sectors.

Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects team has extensive experience of advising our clients on major procurements & complex transactions at the interface of the public and private sectors, from advising on initial commercial/financial strategy, market engagement, planning and running a transaction or procurement, contract structuring and negotiation, all the way through to contract exit and transition. Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects team has an exciting opportunity within the team for a Senior Manager level candidate with experience in the Funding & Financing of infrastructure. The role will combine typical project, commercial and corporate finance skills. The individual will work within a vibrant team advising government and private sector clients through all stages of the contracting life cycle of high profile and complex public sector programmes across a range of sectors. - Leading the end-to-end delivery of advisory projects providing commercial, financial and funding advice to public sector clients with a focus on the funding & financing of infrastructure schemes and major capital project procurements across infrastructure sectors.
- Building strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on the major commercial and financial decisions.
- Independently managing an engagement / major workstream in a large programme with routine senior oversight.
- Being responsible for providing day-to-day oversight, leadership and support for more junior team members.
- Managing diverse teams with an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contributions.
- The individual will also be expected support in a range of non-client facing activities including:
- Working closely with the Directors and Partners to deliver marketing and business development activity.
- Preparation of research documents and proposals to support business development.
Technical skills and experience:
Essential
- Experience in a commercial or finance-focused role within government, a private sector bidder or another advisory firm working on one or more of: PPP, project finance, joint ventures, outsourcing, franchising or similar service contracts.
- Motivated with real enthusiasm and understanding for the financial, commercial, and regulatory landscape within the infrastructure sector.
- An understanding of the financial and commercial aspects of government infrastructure, technology and/or service contracts.
- Experience of working with financial models.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Proven ability to lead project teams, influence stakeholders, and drive consensus in multi-party environments.
Desirable
- Extensive experience working on the funding & financing of capital projects across major infrastructure sectors (e.g., energy, defence, health, transport).
- Experience of designing and building complex financial analysis.
- A recognised financial, accountancy or procurement qualification (full or part-qualified).
- Experience in business case development and strategic report writing for major infrastructure projects.

Infrastructure and Real Estate
Our Infrastructure and Real Estate team supports both public and private sector clients on complex infrastructure, real estate, and capital projects. Typical engagements include urban regeneration, transport, energy and renewables, and occupier advisory to central government and large corporate companies.
Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
