About commercetools
Real innovation starts with a strong foundation, and at commercetools, that comes from the perfect balance of our product and our people. Behind every leap forward is a collective of builders, explorers, doers, makers, and problem-solvers. The kind of people who not only pioneered a more flexible approach to commerce architecture but also shaped the culture of experimentation that approach unlocked. Together they are the engine of commerce innovation today. At commercetools, we power the next era of autonomous commerce for our customers. Whether it’s AI-driven solutions that help enterprises make smarter business decisions, bridging digital and physical shopping experiences, or enabling entirely new ways for industries to connect with their customers, we help the world’s most ambitious companies experiment, scale, and grow without limits. Here the best idea wins, not the loudest voice. You will have the tools, trust, and space to not only build the future of commerce, but to build your own.
Your Impact
As our Senior Manager, Global BDR Function & Operations, you will lead and scale our Business Development Representative (BDR) organisation across AMER, EMEA, and APAC. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will serve as a functional leader on the Marketing Leadership Team, driving predictable enterprise pipeline growth by implementing global outbound motions, standardizing playbooks, and being hands-on with the global BDR team.
You will:
- Serve as the global functional lead for business development, partnering directly with the CMO to align the BDR function with overall demand generation campaigns, brand initiatives, and corporate pipeline targets.
- Partner with RevOps and Marketing to define, monitor, and optimize global Marketing–BDR SLAs, including funnel velocity, lead scoring models, speed-to-lead benchmarks, and inbound conversion strategies.
- Own global team metrics against weekly discovery and qualified opportunity targets, providing direct, data-driven reporting to executive leadership.
- Manage regional BDR teams fostering high-performance leadership standards.
- Own global team retention strategies, structuring quality-weighted compensation frameworks and clear career pathways.
- Design, implement, and maintain a single global BDR playbook covering inbound and outbound architecture, multi-channel messaging (email, phone, social), and objection handling.
- Partner with the People team to support onboarding and enablement programs globally, incorporating formal certification milestones and structured peer-shadowing.
- Collaborate with RevOps to optimize tool adoption, AI potential and workflow efficiencies across Salesforce, Clay, Outreach, Gong/Chorus, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and 6sense/intent data platforms.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
