The opportunity
As a Senior Manager in our Global Tax Managed Services team, you will lead the delivery of large global compliance contracts, support business development activity and work across EY teams to deliver high-quality service to multinational clients.
- Manage large global compliance engagements with client interface and supervisory delivery responsibility.
- Provide senior support to pursuit and proposal activity, including global pricing, strategic negotiation and client pitches.
- Lead governance, service delivery risk management and issue resolution across complex engagements.
- Review budgets, resourcing and margin performance while leading billing and cash collection across your portfolio.
- Coach junior team members and support delivery teams across multiple jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
Business development & pursuit leadership
- Work with the Partner group to provide senior support to large pursuit and proposal activities in response to client RFPs.
- Lead global pricing exercises, contribute to strategic negotiations, and support client presentation teams.
- Support development of the client business case for change.
- Identify opportunities for additional EY services or extensions to existing outsourcing services.
- Own and drive a sales pipeline across mid-sized and smaller pursuits.

Global delivery & contract management
- Manage a number of large global compliance contracts, including client interface and supervisory service delivery responsibilities.
- Proactively manage service delivery risk through strong governance and escalation processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage contract governance, quality and risk process adherence, and reporting against SLAs and KPIs.
- Provide guidance and support to peers, colleagues and clients on contractual issues and fee or scope negotiations.
- Set clear objectives and expectations for junior team members and manage offshore team members day to day.
Finance, risk & governance
- Review budgets and resourcing requirements regularly, with responsibility for margin targets across engagements.
- Lead billing and cash collection across your portfolio.
- Support Engagement Partners on Quality and Risk Management matters.
- Liaise with Global and Tax QRM and legal teams in resolving client service management issues.
- Maintain contractual frameworks and supporting agreements for engagements.
Process improvement & methodology
- Manage scope changes and resulting fee impact, including client and internal negotiations where needed.
- Review and suggest improvements to compliance and reporting processes, including data sources, hand-off points, and controls.
- Share successful tools, techniques, and approaches with team members.
- Project manages business development projects.
What we are looking for
You will likely bring senior delivery experience, strong commercial judgement, and the ability to lead teams and clients through complex global engagements.
- Experience in Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax or accountancy from a professional services firm or in-house team.
- Proven work record in a similar environment and experience managing international projects.
- Strong client relationship management skills and ability to manage issues through successful resolution.
- Business development skills, with the ability to identify and convert opportunities to sell work.
- Strong presentation skills and experience developing and delivering major proposals to clients and targets.
- Experience managing teams across multiple jurisdictions and coaching junior team members.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritization, budget monitoring, and deadline management.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to add financial value to engagements.
- Process design skills and interest in technology enabled improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint capability.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent; ACA, CA, ATTI/CTA, Tax Inspectors or equivalent tax-specialist knowledge is welcome but not essential.
