About the Role
KPMG’s Cyber Security team is a cornerstone of our growth strategy, helping global organisations navigate complex threat landscapes KPMG UK. Our specialized OT/ICS Managed Detection and Response (MDR) practice focuses exclusively on defending critical national infrastructure and industrial environments from highly sophisticated cyber adversaries. We deliver pioneering, market-first detection strategies and active defence techniques that protect physical control networks alongside enterprise systems. By leveraging advanced security analytics, machine learning, and automation, our engineering team empowers global enterprises to build deep operational resilience, mitigate severe cyber-physical risks, and maintain continuous productivity across their asset portfolio.
As Senior Manager- Global OT/ICS Managed Detection and Response (MDR), you will lead the day-to-day delivery and growth of a specialist global programme within Risk Consulting. You will connect advanced research, including autonomous AI systems, with practical services that improve clients’ operational resilience, protect physical infrastructure and reduce cyber-physical risk. The role offers significant scope to shape new propositions, introduce technology into major client environments and work with senior stakeholders across KPMG, alliance partners and critical national infrastructure organisations. The position can be based in a main UK office and involves extensive travel and client-site working.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the operational delivery of the global managed detection and response programme, translating strategic priorities into a clear roadmap for research, service development and client delivery.
- Own the operational technology and industrial control systems service portfolio, setting appropriate technical standards, governance and delivery measures for consistent global deployment.
- Take AI-enabled capabilities from concept and technical validation through to secure, repeatable and commercially viable client services.
- Develop evidence-based business cases for new capabilities, balancing client demand, technical feasibility, delivery risk and commercial value.
- Originate opportunities and lead bids, proposals and senior client presentations that expand the practice’s market presence.
- Act as technical design lead for complex client engagements, managing scope, quality and the translation of cyber security concepts into clear business outcomes.
- Build productive relationships across KPMG sectors, cyber security teams, technology alliances, industry bodies, academia, government and data partners.
- Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team of operational technology security specialists, artificial intelligence engineers and technical delivery managers.

Experience and Skills Needed
- Demonstrable technical expertise in Cyber OT, ICS and MDR, applied to protecting physical or critical infrastructure environments.
- Experience designing, securing, managing risk for and deploying advanced AI or automated response solutions in client or production environments.
- Evidence of developing cyber security products, platforms or propositions from early-stage concepts into validated and repeatable services.
- Experience leading complex consulting proposals, bids or business development activity and converting technical capabilities into client value.
- A strong record of advising senior stakeholders, leading complex client delivery and communicating technical risk in clear business terms.
- Experience leading and developing cross-functional technical teams and coordinating multiple workstreams across innovation, commercial and delivery priorities.
Qualifications Required
- A PhD or master’s degree in artificial intelligence security engineering, computer science or an equivalent technical field focused on advanced machine learning security.
