- Lead the design and delivery of Google Cloud solutions across client engagements, taking ownership of defined workstreams and ensuring outcomes are delivered to Deloitte’s quality and governance standards.
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into detailed architectural designs and implementation plans, working closely with client stakeholders and senior Deloitte leads to ensure alignment throughout.
- Provide technical guidance and day-to-day mentorship to junior engineers and analysts, fostering a collaborative team environment and supporting the development of those around you.
- Drive the adoption of Google Cloud services, including Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Gemini Enterprise, recommending the right solutions for the right problems and articulating their business value clearly to client audiences.
- Contribute to technical pre-sales activity, including the development of bid documentation, RFIs, RFPs, and participation in client presentations, helping Deloitte win and shape the engagements of tomorrow.
- Collaborate closely with Google Cloud representatives, client technical teams, and Deloitte delivery leads to ensure seamless integration, optimal performance, and long-term supportability of cloud solutions.
- Drive the adoption of cutting-edge Google Cloud technologies, including services like Gemini Enterprise, to enhance client capabilities and foster innovation.
- Collaborate closely with clients, Deloitte engagement teams, and Google Cloud representatives to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of cloud solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Deloitte's Google Cloud capabilities, methodologies, and intellectual property.
- Stay abreast of the latest Google Cloud developments, industry trends, and emerging technologies to ensure Deloitte remains at the forefront of cloud innovation.

Essentials
- Solid and demonstrable experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering or architecture, with a deep working knowledge of compute, storage, networking, and cloud management principles applied in professional delivery contexts.
- Proven hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including practical delivery across core services such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run.
- A track record of successfully contributing to the delivery of cloud engagements across their full lifecycle, from discovery and design through to build, testing, and go-live, ideally within a consulting or professional services environment.
- Experience working in or alongside technical pre-sales functions, including contributing to bid responses, RFIs, and RFPs, with the confidence to support client-facing presentations.
- Substantial understanding of cloud security best practices, compliance frameworks, and network architecture within GCP, including VPC Service Controls, IAM governance, and encryption standards.
- Working knowledge of AI and ML services on Google Cloud, with a clear understanding of how platforms such as Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise can be positioned to drive measurable client outcomes.
- The ability to communicate complex technical concepts with clarity and confidence to both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting your style to suit the room.
- Solid analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through ambiguity, identify pragmatic solutions, and escalate risks and issues appropriately.
- An understanding of cloud managed services, support processes, and operational design — with a commitment to building solutions that are not only functional but sustainable beyond go-live.
- Associate Cloud Engineer certification (or equivalent GCP certification), or active progress toward it, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining current and validated technical expertise.

Desirable
- Professional-level GCP certification such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer, reflecting a depth of technical knowledge across the platform’s most complex service domains.
- Relevant GCP certifications (e.g., Cloud Digital Leader, GenAI Leader, Associate Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Security Engineer) are a plus.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling, particularly Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager and a substantial appreciation for repeatable, version-controlled, and auditable provisioning practices.
- Familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, including experience integrating on-premises environments with GCP
- Exposure to data engineering or analytics workloads on GCP, such as Dataflow, BigQuery, or Pub/Sub, with an ability to contribute meaningfully to data-driven client programmes alongside specialist data teams.
- Ability, and willingness to, undergo UK National Security Vetting processes.
- Active, or readily transferable, security clearances are highly desirable.
