About this Role
At PwC we are hiring a Senior Guidewire Solution Architect to lead architecture and delivery across large-scale London Market transformation programmes. This role requires deep experience across the Guidewire InsuranceSuite, including PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter, as well as proven IPLM implementation experience across both Policy and Claims. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining solution architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and supporting the successful delivery of complex transformation initiatives.
As a technical leader and trusted advisor, the individual will work closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams and senior programme leadership to provide architectural direction and governance throughout the programme lifecycle. They will bring a strong understanding of Guidewire best practices, drive technical decision-making, and help navigate complex enterprise environments to achieve successful business and technology outcomes.
What your day will look like:

- Lead IPLM design and integration activities across both Policy and Claims, driving consistency and best practice across implementations.
- Define, establish and govern architecture standards, integration patterns and technical frameworks to support enterprise-wide transformation objectives.
- Act as the technical lead across delivery teams and third-party vendors, providing guidance, oversight and architectural governance throughout delivery.
- Engage senior business and technology stakeholders as a trusted advisor, translating complex technical concepts into business value and strategic outcomes.
- Support solution shaping, RFP responses and pre-sales activities by providing architectural expertise, solution vision and implementation strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
