Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Role Overview
As a Senior Manager, HCC EMEA Regional Office & Risk Management COE – Orthopaedics:
- The Sr. Manager, EMEA Regional Office & Risk Management Center of Excellence (COE) serves as the Compliance Officer for regional activities, providing end-to-end strategic and operational healthcare compliance leadership to regional functional leaders such as International/Regional Marketing, HEMA, Professional Education, and others. The role has meaningful impact on strengthening compliance maturity, driving consistency, protecting the company’s reputation, and reinforcing a culture of integrity across diverse and dynamic markets.
- This role also provides strategy and execution of activities performed by the risk management center of excellence, such as monitoring, Third Party Risk Management, and other risk management activities aligned with global and regional strategies.
- This role reports to the Director, International Regional Offices and Risk Management COE.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted compliance partner and advisor to EMEA Regional Marketing, Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA), and Professional Education leadership, integrating compliance considerations into business plans and decisions and providing practical, forward-looking guidance and solutions.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to embed effective compliance controls into business processes and go-to-market models.
- Lead HCC risk management COE activities across EMEA markets, aligned with global and regional compliance strategies.
- Provide insights that strengthen operational compliance and support proactive risk mitigation.
- Partner with Legal and other functions to support investigations, audits, and interactions with regulators or health authorities.
- Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends to anticipate and address emerging compliance risks.
- Prepare and present compliance risk assessments, insights, and recommendations to regional, international, and senior leadership.

- Required: Bachelor’s degree in law, Business, Compliance, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Preferred: Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Compliance, Legal, Risk, or Ethics-related).
Experience and Skills
Required:
- Minimum 8-10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, risk management, audit, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance regulations and risk management frameworks.
- Experience supporting commercial organizations in regulated environments.
- Proven ability to partner effectively with cross-functional and regional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or broader life sciences industries.
- Experience operating in highly matrixed, multicultural organizations.
- Strong change management and influencing capabilities.
Other
- Language: Fluency in English required; additional EMEA languages preferred.
- Travel: Up to 20–30%
- Certifications: Compliance, legal, or ethics certifications preferred but not required.
