Role Overview

As Senior Manager, Indirect Tax, you will report to the head of tax and partner closely with business operations and administrative teams to support our expanding, global business. This role will cover traditional indirect taxes like sales tax and VAT as well as import duties, business taxes that are not income based, and incentives. Your tax responsibilities will include global compliance, systems set-up, sale and purchase contract review and negotiations, tax audits, and supply-chain planning.

Our company and our industry are growing rapidly. Our growth and change mean this role requires being in the details, running multiple projects at once, simplifying the complex, and participating in higher-level decision-making. It’s a unique and exciting role to provide business-critical tax advice and help build a tax department at a company operating at scale and growing!

Responsibilities

  • Compliance & Reporting - Working with our accounting group and external advisors, lead indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Technical Tax Leadership - Advise on tax implications of transactions, contracts, and new business initiatives, monitor regulatory changes, and ensure the company adapts accordingly.
  • Audit & Risk Management - Manage indirect tax audits, notices, and information requests and develop strategies to minimize tax risk.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with finance, legal, procurement, accounting, sales operations, and our tax team to ensure accurate taxability determinations, and support system updates, business expansions, and product launches from a tax perspective.
  • Technology & Process Optimization - Oversee configuration and maintenance of indirect tax systems and drive process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Leadership & Team Development - Manage and develop a team, including external advisors, and ensure high-quality technical output.
  • Additional duties, including participation in our trade and customs area, as requested.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
