Our Financial Services International Tax and Transaction Services (FS ITTS) team has ambitious growth plans, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join us.
You’ll work with a diverse portfolio of clients, from growing inbound businesses to large multinational organisations, advising on complex international tax matters across Banking, Insurance and Wealth & Asset Management.
The breadth of the team provides opportunities to work across financial services or deepen your expertise within a particular sector, while taking a leading role in developing client relationships, delivering complex engagements and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Manager, you’ll take a leading role in our client relationships, engagements and people development. You’ll be responsible for combining strong technical expertise with commercial insight to deliver practical solutions for our clients.
You’ll:
- Build, develop and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional client service
- Lead the successful delivery of complex international tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical, commercially focused approach
- Identify and drive new opportunities with existing and prospective clients, contributing to proposals and business development activity
- Bring insights and experience from across engagements, technical training and knowledge-sharing to enhance client solutions
- Develop strong external networks across the Banking, Insurance and Wealth & Asset Management markets
- Build effective relationships across EY, connecting clients and colleagues with the right expertise
- Lead, coach and develop junior colleagues through effective delegation, feedback and on-the-job development
- Contribute to the growth, development and strategic priorities of the FS ITTS practice

Skills and attributes for success
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Strong international tax advisory and technical expertise
- A client-focused mindset with strong strategic and commercial awareness
- The ability to build credibility and trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership, coaching and people development capabilities
- A proactive, collaborative and flexible approach
- The confidence to lead complex engagements and manage competing priorities
- A commitment to maintaining and developing your technical and industry expertise
To qualify for the role, you should have
- Significant experience as a tax practitioner, with strong expertise in international tax
- Experience reviewing complex tax work and providing technical guidance to others
- Experience advising financial services clients
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering tax advisory engagements
- Experience coaching and developing junior team members

A relevant professional qualification such as ATT, ACA, CA or CTA, or equivalent breadth of knowledge through another professional qualification such as law, would be preferred.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Strong project management skills, including managing multiple priorities, deadlines and engagement budgets
- Experience identifying and developing new client opportunities
- Strong networks or sector expertise within Banking, Insurance and/or Wealth & Asset Management
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
