About the Role
We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Investigation and Disruption to join our Criminal Enforcement Unit within the Safety & Surveillance group.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity. The role is a home-based role but will require occasional travel to 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf London, E14 4PU or South Mimms, Hertfordshire. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas.
What’s the Role?
The ‘Senior Manager, Investigation and Disruption’ role is a Grade 7 post working within the Investigation Command. The post holder’s core responsibility is to lead one of the Investigation and Disruption Teams, delivering criminal justice and other PURSUE interventions enabling it to meet its strategic aims. They will ensure that investigative resources are prioritized effectively, develop collaborative approaches to tackling medicines crime, and provide the insight, governance, and organizational capability required to support intelligence and operational led enforcement activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the CEU’s investigations and disruption capability, directing complex, intelligence-led activity and multi-agency operations to deliver successful prosecutions and reduce serious criminal threats.
- Build and strengthen professional capability, leading people, resources, and continuous improvement while ensuring the highest standards of investigative practice, governance, and compliance.
- Provide strategic leadership and influence, developing strong partnerships across government, policing, the CPS, and international law enforcement to strengthen the MHRA’s criminal enforcement response.
Who Are We Looking For?
Our successful candidate will:
- Have recent management experience within an investigative law enforcement environment, with a strong understanding of complex criminal investigations and enforcement.
- Demonstrate recent experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and building effective partnerships across law enforcement, regulatory, and multi-agency environments.
- Have a proven track record of leading serious and organized crime investigations and delivering impactful criminal justice, disruption, and threat-reduction interventions.
- Use performance frameworks, management information, and key performance indicators to drive operational effectiveness, continuous improvement, and organizational performance.

Experience Criteria

Technical Criteria
- Current PIP2 (Manager) accreditation, or equivalent recognized investigative management qualification (A, I).
- Significant recent experience of leading teams responsible for the investigation and disruption of serious and complex crime, including the strategic management of complex criminal investigations and prosecutions (A, I).
