About The Role
This role sits at the critical point between winning new business and delivering for customers. You will provide senior delivery leadership into large and complex bids, making sure BT’s proposed solutions, commitments and mobilisation plans are credible, deliverable and commercially sound. Working closely with Win New Business teams, sales, solution, commercial and operational colleagues, you will help shape major opportunities, provide delivery assurance and give executive stakeholders confidence that BT can deliver what it sells.
Once business is won, you will lead the transition from bid commitment through to mobilisation and delivery, taking ownership of complex Transition and Transformation programmes. You will drive outcomes across scope, cost, quality, risk, customer experience and contractual obligations, ensuring teams remain aligned around what has been promised and what needs to be delivered.
As a visible senior escalation point for executive-level customers and internal leaders, you will bring clarity, pace and confidence to complex delivery environments. This is a high-impact role for someone motivated by scale, influence and end-to-end ownership, shaping major customer commitments, landing them safely into delivery and leaving a lasting mark on customer trust, revenue growth and BT’s delivery capability.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will help BT win, mobilise and deliver large, complex customer programmes by providing senior delivery leadership from opportunity shaping through to in-life execution. You will:
- Partner with Win New Business teams to shape major bids, providing delivery insight, challenge and assurance so commitments are realistic, executable and aligned to customer outcomes.
- Represent delivery credibility in customer-facing pre-sales activity, including executive engagement, solution shaping, delivery approach, mobilisation planning and risk identification.
- Provide senior delivery sign-off for large and complex opportunities, making sure scope, assumptions, dependencies, resourcing, timelines, governance and commercial obligations are understood before contract signature.
- Lead the handover from bid to delivery, translating what has been sold into clear delivery plans, mobilisation activity, governance rhythms and measurable outcomes.
- Own delivery excellence across major Transition & Transformation programmes, ensuring delivery is controlled, customer-focused, commercially aware and aligned to contractual commitments.
- Set clear direction for programme teams, helping people understand priorities, accountabilities, risks, decisions and what success looks like.
- Communicate progress clearly with customers and senior stakeholders, giving concise updates on status, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions and next steps.
- Identify and manage risks early, resolving delivery challenges constructively and escalating where senior intervention is needed.
- Create an inclusive, high-performing team environment where people feel respected, supported and able to contribute their best work.
- Ensure delivery follows BT policies, governance, assurance, security and risk requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
