This is an exciting time to join Dementia UK
We're making significant investment in our fundraising programme as part of an ambitious new five-year strategy, creating two brand-new senior leadership roles that will play a pivotal part in growing sustainable income and helping more families access specialist dementia support
Role Overview
As Senior Manager, Legacies & In Memory, you'll lead the development and delivery of an ambitious strategy that inspires more people to leave a gift in their Will or give in memory of a loved one. You'll lead a talented team, foster a positive, high-performing culture and work across the organisation to maximise long-term fundraising opportunities.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- Substantial experience of leading successful Legacies and/or In Memory fundraising programmes across both marketing and stewardship functions.
- Track record of developing long-term strategies that grow sustainable income.
- Understanding of the sensitive nature of these audiences and experience in creating compelling supporter journeys.
- Experienced in managing significant budgets and identifying innovative opportunities to grow legacy and in memory giving.
- Experienced and confident leader who knows how to build high-performing teams.
- Track record of creating an inclusive, positive team culture where people feel supported, motivated and empowered to achieve ambitious goals.
- Comfortable leading through change, bringing people with you and helping teams adapt, grow and succeed during a period of transformation.
- Collaborative and credible senior manager, able to build strong relationships across the organisation and with external partners.
- Confident in challenging constructively, influencing senior stakeholders and working alongside fellow leaders to deliver shared objectives.
- Brings fresh thinking, encourages innovation and uses insight and data to identify new opportunities and continuously improve performance.

Compensation and Conditions
- Salary: £50,000 - £53,000 per annum
- Contract: Full Time, Permanent
- Location: hybrid working, one day per week in our Aldgate, London office
- Closing date: Thursday 3rd September 2026 at 11.59pm
- Annual leave: 33 days (plus eight bank holidays)
