Position Overview
The Senior Manager is accountable for client success by shaping and refining Digital Manufacturing roadmaps that align with business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
This leader serves as the strategic liaison between client stakeholders and internal engineering teams, ensuring a seamless pipeline of functional capabilities that balance business value, technical feasibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
This role requires management consulting–level communication, strong executive presence, Agile delivery leadership, and deep understanding of manufacturing business processes and solution landscapes.
The role also requires strong working knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI), including generative AI and agentic technologies, with demonstrated ability to shape responsible AI-enabled strategies, roadmaps, and solutions that improve manufacturing performance and user outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Drive Client Success Through Roadmap Strategy & Value Realization
- Shape and refine client Digital Manufacturing vision aligned to site- and network-level KPIs (OEE, right-first-time, throughput, release cycle time, asset utilization, etc.).
- Lead executive workshops and structured interviews to define scalable, phased product roadmaps.
- Translate strategic objectives into prioritized epics, features, and backlog items with measurable outcomes.
- Develop multi-horizon roadmaps balancing quick wins and long-term transformation.
- Define KPI baselines, success metrics, and benefit realization tracking mechanisms.
- Develop business cases including ROI, TCO, and value realization models to support investment decisions.
- Promote scalable solutions aligned to enterprise standards.

Serve as Strategic Liaison Between Client & Engineering Delivery
- Act as primary bridge between client stakeholders and internal architecture and engineering teams.
- Translate business requirements into clearly defined functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Own and govern the product backlog, ensuring disciplined prioritization aligned to value and cost.
- Coordinate estimation, dependency mapping, and milestone planning across workstreams.
- Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, demos, and roadmap reviews.
- Lead trade-off discussions balancing scope, cost, scalability, and speed-to-value.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and platform strategy.

Account Leadership & Commercial Growth
- Build trusted advisor relationships with Operations, Digital, IT, and executive client stakeholders.
- Lead executive steering committee discussions and strategic roadmap reviews.
- Identify whitespace and expansion opportunities within active programs.
- Support proposal development, SOW definition, and commercial modeling.
- Monitor engagement health, financial performance, and risk mitigation.
- Elevate voice-of-customer insights and success stories to strengthen long-term partnerships.

Consulting Excellence & Executive Communication
- Demonstrate management consulting–caliber structured problem solving and hypothesis-driven thinking.
- Deliver executive-ready presentations connecting digital initiatives to financial and operational outcomes.
- Simplify complex OT/IT/Data architectures into business-relevant narratives.
- Lead high-impact workshops and decision forums with clarity and confidence.
- Produce polished written deliverables including roadmaps, business cases, operating models, and executive summaries.
- Drive efficiency in governance models, decision frameworks, and stakeholder alignment.

Agile Leadership & Delivery Model Excellence
- Demonstrate strong experience operating in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, hybrid models).
- Champion iterative delivery models that accelerate value realization.
- Guide backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release management with outcome-based prioritization.
- Balance Agile methodologies with manufacturing realities including validation cycles and change management.
- Promote transparency through milestone tracking, sprint metrics, and KPI dashboards.
- Foster high-performing, cross-functional collaboration across consulting and engineering teams.

Strengthen & Evolve the Manufacturing Offering
- Provide structured feedback to Strategy & Growth on emerging client needs and competitive gaps.
- Validate and refine offering components to ensure market relevance and scalability.
- Contribute to thought leadership and differentiated positioning in the marketplace.
- Support development of reusable accelerators, templates, and pre-sales artifacts.
- Collaborate with UX and technical teams to develop demonstrable solution concepts.

Act as Internal SME for Manufacturing Solutions
- Serve as subject matter expert across core manufacturing processes including production execution, quality, maintenance, asset management, and traceability.
- Understand integration patterns across MES, ERP, IoT platforms, and data ecosystems.
- Apply industry nuance across Human Pharma (GxP), Animal Health, and Consumer Goods environments.

AI & Agentic Solution Strategy
- Advise client leaders on where AI, generative AI, and agentic technologies can create measurable value across manufacturing operations, knowledge workflows, decision support, and process automation.
- Lead discovery and prioritization of AI-enabled use cases based on business value, feasibility, data readiness, user impact, risk, scalability, and alignment with enterprise strategy.
- Translate AI opportunities into phased roadmaps, business cases, operating-model implications, functional requirements, and measurable value hypotheses.
- Communicate AI capabilities, limitations, dependencies, and risks in clear business terms, helping executives make informed investment and implementation decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, digital manufacturing, or management/technology consulting.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale manufacturing transformation programs.
- Experience in working with IT and Manufacturing Business Stakeholders
- Strong analyst skills to interpret complex data and business problems
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 such as PowerPoint, Excel
- Demonstrated executive-level communication and presentation skills.
- Proven experience operating in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong business case development and financial acumen.
- Experience interfacing with cross-functional technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Background in Manufacturing OT, Manufacturing IT, or Manufacturing Data Engineering.
- Prior consulting firm experience (strategy, management, or technology consulting).
- Familiarity with industrial standards and enterprise architecture principles.
- Experience supporting regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience with project management practices and project management software
Additional Info
- Range: €120,000 - €125,000 + Bonus (DOE)
- Location: Remote (United Kingdom)
- Travel: ~25%
