JOB DESCRIPTION
Connect to your Industry
Shape the way Life Sciences organisations engage with healthcare professionals and patients through best-in-class marketing technology. As a Senior Manager specialising in Marketing Technology (MarTech) within our Experience & Marketing Transformation team, you will provide strategic leadership across complex MarTech transformation programmes for clients in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology sectors.
You will be a trusted client partner and internal practice leader — defining MarTech strategy, evaluating and recommending platform architectures, overseeing programme delivery, and ensuring solutions are designed to meet the unique regulatory, compliance, and engagement requirements of the Life Sciences industry. Your expertise in omnichannel marketing technology, customer data platforms, and the Life Sciences regulatory landscape will be critical in helping clients deliver compliant, personalised engagement experiences that drive meaningful outcomes for healthcare professionals, patients, and commercial teams.
Beyond client delivery, you will play an active role in developing Deloitte Digital's Life Sciences MarTech practice, mentoring talent, building internal capability, and contributing to thought leadership that strengthens our market position in this specialist sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Shape MarTech strategy for Life Sciences clients, leading platform evaluation and architecture recommendation across a broad ecosystem including customer data platforms (CDPs), marketing automation, CRM, personalisation engines, and content management systems, with deep consideration of Life Sciences-specific compliance requirements.
- Lead and oversee large-scale MarTech programme delivery from discovery through implementation and optimisation, ensuring delivery to time, quality, and budget while managing stakeholder expectations at programme leadership level.
- Drive senior stakeholder and C-suite engagement, leading workshops, executive steering sessions, and strategic reviews that translate complex MarTech programme decisions into clear business impact narratives.
- Translate marketing and commercial objectives into detailed functional requirements, process documentation, and future-state operating models for MarTech platforms — ensuring solutions support regulatory compliance, medical-legal-regulatory (MLR) review workflows, and Life Sciences marketing standards.
- Build Deloitte Digital's authority in Life Sciences MarTech — contributing thought leadership on compliant omnichannel HCP (healthcare professional) engagement, AI-driven patient personalisation, and regulatory-aligned data activation strategies.
- Mentor and develop managers, senior consultants, and consultants within the team, building MarTech and Life Sciences capability through structured coaching, repeatable frameworks, and investment in individual career development.
- Collaborate with Deloitte's Life Sciences industry practice and broader Technology & Transformation teams to bring integrated, cross-functional perspectives to MarTech challenges facing pharmaceutical and medical device clients.
Connect to your skills and professional experience
To excel in this role, you will need deep expertise in marketing technology across both functional and strategic dimensions, combined with a strong understanding of the Life Sciences industry landscape, regulatory environment, and HCP/patient engagement dynamics.
You will have:
- Proven experience leading complex MarTech transformation programmes in large enterprise environments, with a track record of successful platform implementation and measurable client outcomes.
- Strong functional understanding of marketing technology platforms, with practical experience across platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Veeva CRM/CLM, or equivalent enterprise MarTech solutions.
- Experience with customer data platforms (CDPs) and data activation, including an understanding of data modelling, audience segmentation, identity resolution, and cross-channel activation strategies.
- Proven ability to lead C-suite and senior stakeholder relationships, facilitating executive workshops, presenting strategic recommendations, and managing complex multi-stakeholder programmes.
- Experience developing functional specifications, business requirements documents, and use cases that translate marketing and commercial objectives into actionable MarTech platform configurations.
- A clear track record of managing and mentoring teams, providing strategic direction, and building functional capability within a consultancy or in-house technology leadership environment.
- Life Sciences industry experience, with an understanding of the regulatory constraints affecting digital marketing in pharma, medtech, or biotech — including familiarity with ABPI Code requirements, FDA promotional guidelines, and MLR review processes (desirable).
- Awareness of Veeva integration with Salesforce and Adobe platforms, including Veeva CRM, Veeva CLM, and Vault content management in a Life Sciences marketing context (desirable).
- Understanding of AI and agentic technology applications within Life Sciences marketing, including compliant personalisation, next-best-action frameworks, and intelligent content generation (desirable).
- Relevant certifications in Salesforce, Adobe, or equivalent MarTech platforms (desirable).
- Confidence using AI tools and LLMs in day-to-day work — whether to improve delivery quality, accelerate documentation, or drive innovation in client engagements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
