Onsite Support Senior Manager (Trip Support)

Location: Luton Airport

Overview

World Fuel is seeking an experienced aviation professional to manage onsite operations and customer engagement within our Business Aviation Services team. This is a highly visible, client-facing role based at the airport, where you will act as the central point of coordination for flight support services, vendor relationships, and customer experience. You will play a key role in delivering a seamless operational experience while supporting commercial growth across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate flight planning, slot management, and trip support services for key customers
  • Act as the primary onsite liaison between customers, FBOs, and airport service providers
  • Oversee delivery of services for inbound flights arranged by global teams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring high service standards
  • Meet and support customers onsite, providing a high-touch, service-driven experience
  • Identify and introduce opportunities to expand services and support commercial growth
  • Support fuel order coordination and ensure efficient execution of transactions
  • Represent sales teams onsite, assisting with client engagement and relationship management
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of operations, service delivery, and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Experience within an aviation operations or airport-based environment
  • Strong understanding of business aviation operations and trip support services
  • Strong understanding of commercial, cargo, and military operations and trip support services
  • Exposure to requirements across multiple aircraft types (business, commercial, cargo, and military aviation preferred)
  • Experience supporting international flight operations across multiple regions
  • Proven ability to manage customer and vendor relationships in a fast-paced environment
  • Business awareness with a demonstrated ability to support revenue-generating activities
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work onsite and adapt to operational schedules
  • Extensive knowledge of the greater local region and surrounding airports
