Senior Manager, Payment Operations
We're looking for a Senior Manager, Payment Operations to be based in Bradford. This is a 15 month maternity cover.

Payment Operations Team
The Payment Operations team is responsible for several key areas including
- End-to-end processing of all financial transactions such as billing, customer payments, accounts payable & receivable, in compliance with supplier accounts, applicable legislation and internal policies
- Operational cash forecasting and working capital tracking
- Processing supplier payments & employee expenses
Role Overview
This is a key role within the Payment Operations function, with a dedicated focus on the Sunrise GmbH account. As Senior Manager of the Sunrise Purchase to Pay (P2P) Team, the role will act as workstream lead across invoice processing, query management and operational procurement activities delivered on behalf of Sunrise. The position will also play a central role in driving transformation and supporting Sunrise’s P2P initiatives, ensuring services are delivered in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs.
Reporting to the Payment Operations Director, the role will oversee the accurate, efficient and controlled delivery of P2P operations. It will be accountable for consistently delivering high-quality outcomes, providing strategic support and input to the Head of P2P at Sunrise, and collaborating with key stakeholders to identify, implement and embed both technical and practical solutions.

Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for digital innovation and improvement across various Payment Operations functions
- Collaborate with Transformation and Technology teams to define Payment Operations digital needs
- Lead digital transformation changes within Payment Operations functions
- Facilitate the implementation of new technology by supporting testing requirements within the designated delivery timelines
- Reimagine operational processes to drive a best in class, end-state solution whilst aligning with market needs
- Ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of all payment operations processes and providing leadership to the wider team in order to achieve KPI’s and deliverables
- Leading and resolving all high-profile customer escalations
- Key contact to Sunrise, working with senior stakeholders to ensure fast query resolution and excellent customer service
- Continuously review current processes, identify improvements and work with Digital Teams to deliver a solution
- Responsible for coordinating with all teams within Payment Operations to improve the customer experience
- Responsibility for delivery of any changes to operational structures

Essential Requirements
We tend to look for people with:
- Experience working within a fast-paced accounts payable or accounts receivable department & delivering to timelines
- Experience of delivering process improvements and transformation change within a transactional finance department
- Strong excel skills essential
- Attention to detail
- Clear and concise written communication skills
- Strong verbal communication skills to explain issues and provide clear and important interpretation of analysis conducted
- To be able to lead and control meetings with senior stakeholders
- Be able to present information in a clear and concise format
- Stakeholder management (up to and including ExCom isn't essential but would be beneficial) – to be able to understand finance and operational customers’ needs and requirements to provide excellent customer service
- Organisation & time management
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining customer excellence
- Experience co-ordinating change programs that feed into multiple teams from an operational perspective

- Collaboration working across internal and external teams in multiple offices to deliver improvements and standard process within the team
