Job Title: Senior Manager Payments Delivery
Location: Hammersmith, London - Hybrid
Working Pattern: 2 days in-office and 3 days remote.
About the Role
The Senior Manager Payments Delivery EMEA is responsible for the implementation of complex payments products on behalf of Capital One’s Global Payment Network in the EMEA region. This individual will manage a team of direct report SMEs and non-associate labor resources.
This position requires an analytical, innovative and creative leader who will lead a Product Deployment team of strong payment subject matter experts and will also act as an evangelist internally and externally to accelerate product implementation and deployment in the EMEA region. This employee will take a deliberate approach when personally engaging with customers and will develop their direct reports to model the same approach. Excellent client management and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively deliver information to internal and external constituents at all levels, are critical.
He or she will be actively engaged in the industry, including staying up-to-speed on market and external business factors that should be considered when making educated business decisions on deployment strategy.
What you’ll do
- Creates (and executes against) global implementation strategies for key advanced payments products (e.g. EMV Issuing and Acquiring, Open Loop Transit, 3DS and Digital implementations)
- Support strategic relationships with Capital One clients and partners including regional issuers, acquirers, processors, technology vendors and Network Alliance partners.
- Directs daily operations for the team, analyzing workflows, establishing priorities and setting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to embed risk, controls, and regulatory requirements into delivery – ensuring every implementation meets compliance obligations before go-live.

What we’re looking for
- Experience in EMV Issuing and Acquiring, Payments, EMV Certification, Open Loop Transit, Smart Cards, Contactless NFC, QR code, or Digital Payments.
- Demonstrated experience delivering or implementing products in financial services and a strong working knowledge of the payments business and ecosystem.
- People leadership experience, including direct management.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to understand complex technical concepts.
- Cross functional Orchestration – Proven ability to coordinate across multiple functions and stakeholders
- Strong alignment skills across Product, Technology, Operations, Sales and Delivery
- Strong communication and executive presence with the ability to simplify complex solutions into concise partner-relevant narratives
- Data driven mindset with a strong focus on KPI’s and continuous improvement.
Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent position based in our Hammersmith, London office. We embrace a hybrid approach to work. You'll spend two days a week in the office.
