Senior Manager – Real Estate Fund Administration

Location: London

Working pattern: Hybrid – 4 days per week in the office

Salary: £100,000–£110,000 + bonus and benefits

A leading, fast-growing provider of fund administration, accounting and investor reporting services is seeking a Senior Manager to join its London-based Real Estate team. This is a senior, client-facing opportunity for a qualified accountant with substantial experience in real estate fund administration and a proven track record of working with institutional, investment and property-focused clients.

The opportunity

You will take responsibility for a portfolio of real estate funds and related structures, while leading and developing a team of fund accountants. The role will involve working closely with senior stakeholders and clients, providing technical guidance and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality accounting, reporting and administration services. You will also support the ongoing development of processes, service standards and client relationships within the Real Estate business.

  • Lead the delivery of accounting, reporting and fund administration services for real estate funds and SPVs.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients, providing commercially focused advice and resolving complex issues.
  • Oversee bookkeeping, periodic reporting, capital calls, distributions and other fund-related activities.
  • Review and support calculations relating to valuations, income distributions and real estate structures.
  • Ensure client deliverables are accurate, timely and compliant with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement consistent processes and service standards across the Real Estate team.
  • Plan and manage client deliverables, projects and cross-jurisdictional communications.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, intermediaries and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor and motivate a team of fund accountants.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients and the implementation of new funds and structures.

Essential experience

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Significant experience in real estate fund accounting and administration.
  • Ideally, 8+ years’ experience in accounting and reporting for alternative investment funds.
  • Strong technical knowledge of real estate funds, property structures and SPVs.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing financial information under UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing professional services, fund administration or financial services environment.
  • Demonstrable experience managing, developing and motivating teams.
  • Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work effectively to demanding deadlines.
  • Experience of assisting in pitching for new business via presentations is highly desirable.
