Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager – Chemicals / Paints / Coatings / Resins
Northumberland – near Newcastle Upon Tyne | 4 days on site
A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager to join an international coatings manufacturer.
The company's high-quality products are sold through specialist high-end trade retailers and directly to interior designers and architectural practices.
Initially a standalone position, the Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager will have the opportunity to build and lead a UK-based Regulatory Affairs function, with a European focus, supporting a complex and diverse product portfolio.
The Role
- Build and lead a UK-based European Regulatory Affairs function.
- Manage UK and EU regulatory registration and notification projects.
- Support global product development teams and new product launches.
- Provide regulatory expertise across REACH, CLP and BPR.
- Lead the assessment of new raw materials and finished products for regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regulatory risk assessments and assess the impact of legislative changes.
- Manage SDS and labelling compliance.
- Act as a key regulatory contact across the business, working closely with technical, R&D, commercial and international teams.

About You
We're keen to hear from Regulatory Affairs professionals with experience within chemicals, paints, coatings, adhesives, glues, resins, polymers, specialty chemicals or similar manufacturing environments.

You'll ideally have:
- 5+ years' regulatory experience within a chemical, polymer, resin, paint, coatings or adhesives manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of REACH, CLP and BPR.
- Experience with UK and European chemical legislation.
- Strong regulatory risk assessment experience.
- Experience leading regulatory projects relating to new product development and product launches.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability and willingness to work on site 4 days per week.
The package is flexible for the right candidate.
This is a permanent position. Contractors will not be considered.
