Help Build the Future of Revenue Accounting at Finastra

This isn't a traditional accounting leadership role.

Finastra is seeking a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to join our global Finance team at a pivotal moment of transformation. As we continue to evolve our operating model, we're looking for a leader who can strengthen team structures, improve operational processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and help drive automation across the revenue accounting function.

You'll combine technical accounting expertise with strong people leadership, leading a team responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and operational execution of revenue accounting activities across a complex global business. You'll also play a key role in shaping the future of the function by driving process improvements and helping create a more scalable, efficient operating environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of revenue accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee revenue accounting activities and ensure accurate, compliant revenue recognition.
  • Review complex customer contracts and provide guidance on revenue recognition treatment and accounting judgement.
  • Manage key month-end close activities and support evolving financial reporting requirements.
  • Partner with internal and external auditors to support audit and compliance activities.
  • Strengthen financial controls and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing processes.
  • Drive automation and transformation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve scalability.
  • Collaborate with Finance leaders and stakeholders across a global organisation to support business growth and change.

What You'll Bring

Essential

  • Significant experience in Revenue Accounting, including the application of IFRS 15 and/or ASC 606 in complex commercial environments.
  • Proven experience leading, developing and motivating accounting teams.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to evaluate complex customer contracts.
  • Experience supporting financial reporting, audit activities and control frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience improving processes, implementing controls, or contributing to finance transformation and automation initiatives.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent).

Preferred

  • Big Four training and/or audit background.
  • Experience within SaaS, Software, Technology, FinTech or other complex revenue environments.
  • Experience working within global, matrixed organisations.
  • Exposure to ERP systems, process automation and finance transformation programmes.
  • Experience using NetSuite, Salesforce and/or BlackLine would be advantageous.
