Role Overview

The role will be responsible for transforming RGM from descriptive reporting into predictive and prescriptive decision-making by leveraging machine learning, statistical modelling, forecasting, optimization, simulation, and GenAI capabilities. The successful candidate will work closely with RGM, Commercial, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to identify high-value opportunities and deliver measurable commercial impact.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the RGM Advanced Analytics strategy, vision, roadmap, and operating model.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-value analytics and AI opportunities across pricing, promotions, assortment, portfolio, customer, and commercial planning.
  • Lead the evolution from descriptive analytics toward predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Own advanced analytics capabilities for: Pricing and price optimization, Trade promotion optimization & Commercial forecasting.
  • Lead the development and implementation of machine learning and statistical models that support commercial decision-making.
  • Drive the use of optimization techniques, experimentation, causal inference, and simulation to improve commercial outcomes.
  • Develop AI-enabled decision-support capabilities for RGM and commercial teams.
  • Identify and lead GenAI use cases, including RGM copilots, automated insight generation, natural-language analytics, smart recommendations, AI-driven commercial storytelling, and automated business-case development.
  • Translate complex business problems into well-defined analytical problems, hypotheses, models, and actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to validate analytical outputs, establish model explainability, and drive adoption of analytics solutions.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of analytics products, from ideation and business case development through model development, deployment, adoption, and value realization.
  • Establish best practices around model governance, performance monitoring, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams comprising Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Data Engineers, Analytics Translators, Optimization Specialists, and Product Managers.
  • Own resource planning, delivery management, technical reviews, capability development, coaching, and performance management.
  • Build strong partnerships with RGM Leadership, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Category Management, Commercial Excellence, and Data & Analytics Leadership.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations effectively to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive change management and ensure analytics solutions are embedded into commercial planning and decision-making processes.
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure model effectiveness, user adoption, time-to-insight, productionized analytics products, and overall business value.

  • 8–15+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Commercial Analytics, Pricing Analytics, Revenue Growth Management, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in FMCG, Retail, Consumer Goods, or Commercial Analytics environments.
  • Proven experience leading advanced analytics, data science, or AI teams.
  • Strong understanding of Revenue Growth Management (RGM), pricing strategy, trade promotion management, assortment, portfolio strategy, customer profitability, and commercial planning.
  • Hands-on understanding of predictive analytics, machine learning, statistical modelling, forecasting, optimization, simulation modelling, scenario analysis, experiment design, and causal inference.
  • Experience translating business requirements into analytical solutions and driving adoption of data-driven recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions into production.
  • Strong understanding of AI and GenAI applications in commercial decision-making.
  • Experience working with senior business and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business partnering, stakeholder management, and program leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
