Job Description

Connect to your Industry

Redefine how Life Sciences organisations connect with healthcare professionals and patients through intelligent, compliant, and personalised marketing technology. As a Senior Manager specialising in Salesforce MarTech Architecture within our Experience & Marketing Transformation team, you will lead the strategic design and delivery of Salesforce-based marketing technology ecosystems for pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology clients.

You will serve as the senior technical authority on complex Salesforce implementations spanning Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Personalisation — architecting end-to-end data flows, designing omnichannel HCP and patient engagement strategies, and ensuring that every solution is built to meet the strict regulatory, ethical, and commercial requirements of the Life Sciences sector. Your deep knowledge of Salesforce cross-cloud architecture, combined with an understanding of Life Sciences-specific platforms and regulatory frameworks, will make you a critical partner to some of the world's leading pharmaceutical and medical device organisations.

Beyond programme delivery, you will develop practice-level thought leadership in Life Sciences MarTech, mentor technical teams, and contribute to building Deloitte Digital's reputation as the partner of choice for Salesforce-based marketing transformation in Life Science.

Your Responsibilities

  • Shape and define the Salesforce MarTech architecture strategy for Life Sciences clients, overseeing the design of integrated, scalable marketing technology ecosystems spanning Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Personalisation platforms
  • Architect end-to-end data flows across Salesforce clouds — including Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud — ensuring robust data models, identity resolution, cross-cloud integration, and regulatory-compliant data governance frameworks.
  • Drive technical design workshops and architecture reviews with engineering teams and business stakeholders, clearly translating complex platform architecture decisions into executive-level recommendations and communicating trade-offs to senior programme sponsors.
  • Design personalisation and omnichannel engagement strategies for Life Sciences use cases - from compliant HCP (healthcare professional) engagement and patient support programmes to medical affairs digital outreach. Implement these using Salesforce Data Cloud segmentation and activations, integrated with Marketing Cloud journey orchestration.
  • Lead technical workstreams within large-scale Salesforce implementation programmes, ensuring architectural integrity, platform best practices, regulatory compliance, and delivery to quality standards across all phases of the programme.
  • Champion architectural standards, reusable implementation patterns, and Life Sciences-specific accelerators within the team, mentoring managers and consultants to build deep Salesforce MarTech capability across the practice.
  • Build Deloitte Digital's reputation in Life Sciences MarTech architecture through thought leadership on topics such as compliant personalisation at scale, omnichannel HCP engagement, AI-driven patient journeys, Veeva-Salesforce integration patterns, and regulatory data governance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

To excel in this role, you will need deep Salesforce architecture expertise across Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Personalisation, combined with a strong understanding of the Life Sciences industry landscape, HCP and patient engagement dynamics, and the regulatory frameworks governing marketing in this sector.

You will have:

  • Proven experience leading multiple Salesforce implementation programmes at scale, with hands-on architecture ownership across Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Personalisation, and a track record of delivering complex cross-cloud solutions.
  • Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant certification, ideally complemented by Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Consultant), with evidence of applying these in large, complex client environments
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud architecture — including Data Streams, Unified Data Model, Transformations and Insights, Identity Resolution, Segmentation, and Activations — and the ability to make and defend architectural decisions at programme level.
  • Experience designing and implementing Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions including Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Audience Builder, with the ability to integrate these with Data Cloud and Personalisation for unified customer engagement
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce cross-cloud integration patterns, data modelling best practices, API integration approaches, and data governance principles relevant to enterprise marketing technology implementations.
  • Proficiency in SQL and a working knowledge of SOQL, with experience integrating Salesforce Data Cloud with external data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) for enhanced analytics and data activation.
  • Proven ability to lead C-suite and executive stakeholder engagement, facilitating architectural design sessions, presenting platform strategies, and navigating complex multi-stakeholder programme dynamics.
  • A clear track record of leading and mentoring technical teams, managing architects and developers across multiple workstreams, and building Salesforce MarTech capability within a practice.
  • Life Sciences industry experience with an understanding of regulatory constraints affecting digital marketing — including ABPI Code requirements, FDA promotional guidelines, and MLR (Medical-Legal-Regulatory) review processes — and how these inform MarTech architecture decisions (desirable).
  • Experience with Veeva CRM, Veeva CLM, or Vault integration with Salesforce, and an understanding of Veeva's role in HCP engagement and content management within Life Sciences (desirable).
  • Awareness of Salesforce Agentforce capabilities and the potential for agentic AI integration within Life Sciences marketing and sales workflows (desirable).
  • Confidence using AI tools and LLMs in day-to-day work — whether to accelerate architecture documentation, enhance delivery quality, or drive innovation in client engagements.
