At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader — we’re changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We’re committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.

Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work — every day. We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet.

Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.

We are looking for a strategic, commercially minded events leader to head up our Seller Events function. This is a pivotal role responsible for designing and delivering a best-in-class events programme that deepens our connection with sellers across the UK and drives forward our marketplace strategy.

You will lead a team of two direct reports and seasonal event staff as well as working with our agency team, being responsible for the full events calendar from concept through to execution with a sharp eye on cost efficiency, operational excellence, and continuous innovation.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Lead and develop the Seller Events team, including two direct reports and seasonal support staff
  • Lead the UK seller events strategy, ensuring every event connects meaningfully to broader marketplace goals
  • Think innovatively about how events can be used as a strategic tool — not just for engagement, but to influence seller behaviour, drive adoption, and build community
  • Actively seek cost efficiencies and optimise resources, ensuring high-impact events are delivered within budget
  • Run agency partners and external suppliers effectively, driving value and maintaining high standards
  • Build strong relationships with sellers, understanding their needs and translating those insights back into the business
  • Create new event formats and playbooks not just iterating on what exists, but genuinely reimagining how we connect with sellers
  • Embed a culture of learning and iteration, using data and feedback to constantly improve the events programme
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure events amplify wider company priorities

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
