Job Description

This role sits within Visa Europe's SMB Solutioning team and plays a critical role in developing, packaging, and commercializing propositions that drive SMB growth across Europe.

The Senior Manager acts as a solutioning specialist for SMB, partnering closely with Sales, Product, GTM, and Partnerships to develop differentiated SMB propositions, support strategic client opportunities, and deliver compelling go-to-market assets. The role combines proposition development, client solutioning, market intelligence, and seller enablement to accelerate commercial outcomes across Visa's SMB portfolio. This includes areas such as Premium & Loyalty, Credit, Virtual Cards, Spend Management, and emerging SMB growth opportunities.

Client Solutioning

  • Partner with VCS Sales teams to drive strategic and complex SMB client opportunities across Europe, including client pitches, workshops, business case development, and RFP responses.
  • Develop tailored solutions and value propositions for issuers, fintech's, embedded finance providers, and other SMB-focused partners.
  • Act as a trusted subject matter expert for SMB propositions, market trends, and competitive positioning.

Proposition Development

  • Develop and evolve SMB propositions aligned to client needs and market opportunities, leveraging customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence to drive proposition enhancements and business case recommendations.
  • Define target customer segments, value propositions, and commercial models to drive adoption and revenue growth.
  • Partner with Product teams to influence roadmap priorities, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for optimization and scale.

Go-To-Market & Seller Enablement

  • Develop compelling client-facing and seller-facing collateral including pitch decks, playbooks, business cases, and value messaging, in partnership with Product and GTM teams.
  • Support launch planning and market readiness activities for new propositions and capabilities.
  • Deliver training and enablement activities to improve seller confidence and effectiveness.

Market Intelligence & Insights

  • Monitor industry and SMB trends across payments, fintech, banking, and SMB ecosystems.
  • Develop clear recommendations and thought leadership to support decision-making.
  • Support pipeline analysis, opportunity sizing, and prioritization exercises.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Cluster sellers to drive SMB growth.
  • Influence stakeholders across a matrix organization without direct authority.
  • Drive alignment between commercial objectives and proposition execution.
  • Support governance, reporting, and progress tracking for key strategic initiatives.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office; expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in payments, financial services, fintech, business banking, or commercial card solutions.
  • Experience developing customer value propositions, solutioning complex client opportunities, or supporting go-to-market activities.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect proposition strategy to revenue outcomes.
  • Experience leading client presentations, workshops, and strategic discussions.
  • Ability to analyze market data and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a complex and matrixed environment.
  • Understanding of SMB customer needs and payment ecosystems.
  • Fluency in English required; additional European language advantageous.
