  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex business-analysis, quality, delivery-readiness and stakeholder-alignment issues, coordinating timely resolution across teams.
  • Use client feedback, service data, incidents, defects and recurring issues to identify root causes and prioritize continuous-improvement, automation and prevention opportunities.
  • Plan team capacity, assign resources across engagements and balance delivery demand with capability development, quality oversight and practice priorities.
  • Lead, coach and develop Business Analysts, Quality Assurance professionals and team leads, creating clear expectations, career development opportunities and a strong community of practice.
  • Contribute to proposals, estimates, statements of work, client presentations, executive governance, thought leadership and repeatable Solution Operations offerings.
  • Collaborate with leaders across Advisory to align Business Analysis and Quality Assurance practices with project delivery, Agile ways of working, ITIL processes and broader firm standards.

How we define success

  • Clients and delivery leaders view the function as a trusted partner that improves clarity, reduces delivery risk and strengthens service outcomes.
  • Requirements, processes, test evidence and readiness decisions are consistent, traceable, risk-based and fit for purpose.
  • Quality risks, defects, dependencies and operational-readiness concerns are identified early and resolved through clear ownership and governance.
  • Portfolio reporting supports timely executive decisions and drives measurable continuous improvement across engagements.
  • The Business Analysis and Quality Assurance team grows in capability, engagement and accountability through strong leadership and development.
  • You demonstrate BDO’s core values of Integrity, Respect and Collaboration and contribute to an inclusive, innovative and client-focused workplace.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
