SENIOR MANAGER STUDY OVERSIGHT

What you will do

  • Provide strategic oversight of Functional Service Provider (FSP) resources and performance at the country level, ensuring high-quality and compliant clinical trial delivery.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration, supplier performance, issue resolution, and continuous improvement while developing and mentoring Study Oversight Managers.
  • Lead oversight of FSP resources, capacity, performance, quality, and delivery from study start-up through close-out.
  • Monitor key metrics, milestones, and quality targets, proactively addressing performance or delivery risks.
  • Serve as an escalation point for supplier-related issues and communicate country-level trends and challenges to senior leadership.
  • Lead governance and strengthen collaboration across FSPs, study teams, sites, and global stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop Study Oversight Managers, driving consistency and effective ways of working.
  • Partner with Local Study Operations leadership to ensure appropriate staff and site oversight.
  • Support inspection readiness, audits, regulatory inspections, and investigator site relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, supplier engagement, and trial delivery.

What we expect of you

  • Degree educated with significant clinical execution experience.
  • Experience leading people, teams, projects, or programs within a clinical research environment.
  • Strong life sciences/biopharma clinical trial experience, within biotech, pharma, or CRO environments.
  • Experience managing CROs and other clinical research vendors.
  • Experience overseeing clinical operations across countries/regions with knowledge of local regulations and compliance.
  • Proven management of study timelines, budgets, KPIs, enrollment, quality, and operational risks.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, train, and develop cross-functional clinical teams.
  • Experience supporting study start-up, site readiness, audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of EDC, data integrity, and query management.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder and risk management skills across functions, suppliers, geographies, and senior leadership.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive monitoring excellence.
