Senior Manager - Sustainability & Financial Reporting
Edinburgh or Glasgow | Hybrid Working | Circa £72,000 + Benefits Allowance
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Manager to join a growing professional services team supporting clients across the Financial Services sector. This role has been created in response to increasing demand for sustainability and regulatory reporting expertise and offers the chance to help shape and develop a growing capability area within an established advisory practice. Whilst sustainability reporting forms part of the opportunity, the successful candidate does not need to be an ESG specialist. Strong financial reporting expertise and leadership capability are considered the most important requirements.
The Role
Working as part of a senior leadership team, you will help lead client engagements, develop team capability and support the growth of a specialist reporting and advisory offering. You will work with a broad range of Financial Services clients and have the opportunity to contribute across sustainability reporting, regulatory reporting, governance, and wider risk-related projects. This is a highly visible role with responsibility for leading people, managing client relationships, and helping shape the future direction of the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
