Barnardo's is looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Manager to lead one of our most important corporate partnerships.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile UK-wide partnership, working closely with a major corporate partner to raise vital income, engage colleagues and customers, and help create lasting change for children and young people.
As Senior Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall development and performance of the partnership. You'll build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, understand what matters to our partner and work with them to shape a shared plan for the years ahead.
You'll have real ownership of the partnership's income and growth. From managing forecasts, budgets and pipeline to spotting new opportunities and developing ideas, you'll use your commercial understanding and knowledge of the corporate sector to help the partnership reach its full potential.
Just as importantly, you'll make sure we're a great partner to work with. You'll work closely with our Regional Managers and colleagues across Barnardo's to make sure activity is well planned, delivered consistently and gives our partner, their colleagues and customers a positive experience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
A big part of the role will be building relationships and bringing people together. You'll work with senior decision-makers, lead important conversations and negotiations, and help both organisations stay focused on what we're trying to achieve together. You'll also represent the partnership at senior meetings, events and programme boards.
We're looking for someone who knows how to build and grow strong corporate relationships and who is comfortable working towards ambitious financial targets. You might come from a corporate fundraising, account management, sales, marketing or business development background, but what matters most is your ability to develop relationships, spot opportunities and turn them into results.
You'll need to be commercially aware and comfortable working with budgets, data and performance information. You'll also need excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to work with senior stakeholders, present ideas and lead negotiations.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being at the centre of a major partnership - someone who can see the bigger picture but is also happy getting into the detail to make things happen. You'll be organised, collaborative and creative, and able to balance the needs of our partner with Barnardo's fundraising and impact goals.

You'll also build relationships with colleagues and customers within our corporate partner, as well as agencies, suppliers and other external stakeholders.
The role involves travel across the UK, including some evening work, events and overnight stays, so flexibility is important.
If you're someone who enjoys building relationships, finding new opportunities and making things happen - and you want to use your experience to help change childhoods and change lives - we'd love to hear from you.
