We’re embarking on a People Transformation journey, modernising our technology to create a simpler, more seamless experience across Boots. Through our HR Transformation programme we'll improve our ways of working to make it easier to support colleagues through key moments in their careers while enabling better access to information and more effective support across the business.

As an HR Transformation Workstream Lead, you'll play a key role in making our transformation a success. You'll lead one of our programme workstreams, bringing together business, technology and project teams to design, deliver and embed new processes and ways of working that make a real difference for colleagues.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting into the Programme Lead, you'll lead a team of Business Architects and work closely with Process Owners, IT, Change, Reporting and Data Migration workstreams, alongside functional experts from across the business. Together, you'll ensure your workstream delivers high-quality solutions that meet business needs while supporting the wider programme objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of your Talent module from design through to testing, deployment and hypercare, managing priorities, risks, dependencies and milestones.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Business Architects and Process Specialists ensuring consistent, high-quality process design across your workstream.
  • Coach and support your team, creating an environment where people can collaborate, learn and deliver their best work.
  • Work closely with Process Owners and business stakeholders to define future processes that are simple, effective with colleague experience at the forefront.
  • Work with the Lead E2E Business Architect to ensure the Talent processes work seamlessly within the target operating model.
  • Take accountability for key design and process decisions within your workstream, ensuring they meet operational needs, align with design principles and support the Colleague promise.
  • Collaborate with IT, Change, Reporting, Data Migration and wider programme workstreams to deliver integrated solutions across the HRIS programme.
  • Oversee process documentation, Standard Operating Procedures, User Acceptance Testing scenarios and readiness activities, supporting UAT execution and business adoption.
  • Work with the Project Lead to provide workstream updates, manage risks and challenges, and ensure governance, programme standards and quality expectations are maintained.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
