Senior Manager, Technology & Change Risk | Hybrid, Buckinghamshire | Up to £95k

Most second-line risk roles ask you to police a framework. This one asks you to think. A regulated financial services organisation is partway through a major transformation, and its newly refreshed risk leadership team needs someone who can look at a cloud migration, a data programme or a stalled change initiative and say clearly what matters, why, and what to do about it.

You'll challenge the first line constructively, hold your own with ExCo, and stay pragmatic about where the business actually is.

The Role

  • Lead second-line oversight of technology, data and change risk across a multi-year transformation programme
  • Challenge first-line teams on programme, cloud and data risk, with commercial judgement rather than checklists
  • Brief executive stakeholders, including senior technology and data leadership, with clear, decision-ready risk insight
  • Design and run scenario analysis that starts from business strategy, not methodology
  • Shape a proportionate technology and operational risk approach that fits the organisation's maturity
  • Lead and develop a small risk team
  • Bring momentum: pull stakeholders together, unblock issues and drive actions to completion

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
