Job Description
The role sits within the Traded & Operational Risk Modelling (TORM) team within Financial Risk, where you'll join a collaborative team with deep expertise in financial risk modelling and play a leading role in shaping a strategically important capability for the Group.
We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced quantitative risk professional with direct IMM and Counterparty Credit Risk modelling experience, alongside a track record of delivering complex modelling or regulatory change initiatives.
Success in this role will require strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Technology and Front Office functions.
The Role
Direct experience of Internal Model Method (IMM) development and/or regulatory approval activities is essential for this role.
The role will involve leading modelling workstreams, influencing senior stakeholders, shaping methodology decisions and contributing to a major regulatory capital transformation programme.
We’re looking for an experienced Counterparty Credit Risk modelling specialist to lead the development, enhancement and implementation of key components of Lloyds Banking Group's Internal Model Methodology (IMM) framework for Counterparty Credit Risk, supporting regulatory capital calculations, PRA submission activities, and the transition from standardised methodologies towards risk-sensitive internal models.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
