A leading professional services firm is looking for a Tax Senior Manager to join its Transaction Tax practice, one of the most active and high profile areas of its Tax business. The team works in a fast paced, challenging and rewarding environment, with a broad range of career paths for ambitious people.
Sponsorship can also be provided to candidates who need it.
The Role
The Transaction Tax practice provides market leading advice to corporates and financial institutions across a wide range of transactions. Within it sits the Private Equity team, which works with large and mid-cap private equity and credit institutions, advising them across the full deal spectrum. This includes buy side due diligence and structuring, sell side vendor assist, refinancing, restructuring and listing support.

The PE team has advised on some of the largest deals in the market, helping clients understand and quantify historical tax issues, structure transactions, model tax outcomes and reflect advice in the legal documents underpinning each deal, with a constant focus on maximising value throughout the investment cycle. The work often spans multiple countries, taxes and workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of complex transactions alongside Partners and Directors, taking ownership of workstreams and client outcomes.
- Drive the pursuit of new opportunities, shaping proposals and playing a key role in pitches.
- Build and maintain senior client relationships alongside colleagues across the wider PE&C business.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, legal advisers and internal teams to facilitate effective delivery.
- Prepare and oversee detailed technical advice covering a range of UK and international tax issues.
- Oversee the analysis of tax related documents and data, highlighting key issues and articulating the commercial impact to the client.
- Oversee financial models and tax assumptions, and review transaction funds flows and capitalisation tables.
- Manage, coach and develop junior colleagues, and take an active role in their progression.

Skillset
- Qualified CTA, ACA, CA or equivalent.
- Strong transactions background with a keen interest in deal work.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong UK corporate tax knowledge.
