Job Description

About the role

As our Senior Manager, User/Innovation Research, you'll play a strategic role at the heart of product and proposition innovation. You'll serve as the audience expert within a multidisciplinary team, leading the research and learning agenda to ensure the voices, needs and behaviours of both children and adults shape proposition development. Working within the Creative Play Lab, the innovation department of the LEGO Group, you'll partner with colleagues across design, engineering, marketing, analytics and strategy to generate insights, reduce uncertainty and guide innovation decisions before launch.

This is a Senior Manager level Individual Contributor role. This role will be based in our London Hub or Billund Project House. We offer a flexible hybrid working model known as Best of Both, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Required Qualifications

  • Delivered user research, design research or innovation research programmes that informed product or proposition development.
  • Applied mixed-methods research approaches across multiple markets.
  • Conducted generative and evaluative qualitative studies from planning through synthesis and recommendation.
  • Influenced cross-functional teams through stakeholder partnership and engagement.
  • Crafted evidence-based narratives that informed business or product decisions.
  • Developed strategic recommendations grounded in research and insight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Used digital research and synthesis tools to support insight generation.
  • Conducted research programmes involving children.
  • Worked within the toys or entertainment industry.
  • Supported the development of physical and technology-enabled products or experiences.

What you'll build

  • A research and learning agenda that drives innovation decisions.
  • Deep understanding of audience needs and behaviours that inspires colleagues to think differently.
  • Research-led recommendations that help determine whether propositions should progress, evolve or stop.
  • Qualitative research programmes with both children and adults.
  • Connections between qualitative, quantitative and experimental evidence that support clear decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
