Senior Manual QA Engineer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manual QA Engineer based in the United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to ensure the quality and reliability of innovative gaming products within a fast-growing technology environment.
You will take ownership of manual testing processes, helping teams deliver stable, high-quality experiences across multiple platforms.
The position combines deep QA expertise, analytical thinking, and collaboration with development teams to improve product quality.
You will work on complex systems involving game mechanics, integrations, performance, and regulatory requirements.
By contributing to testing strategies and mentoring other QA professionals, you will help establish strong quality standards across the product lifecycle.

Accountabilities
- Analyze product documentation, technical requirements, and functional specifications to define effective testing approaches.
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and comprehensive test documentation.
- Perform functional, regression, acceptance, and exploratory testing across different product areas.
- Validate game mechanics, including RTP, volatility, payouts, bonus rounds, free spins, and overall gameplay behavior.
- Ensure products meet regulatory and compliance requirements through appropriate testing practices and validation processes.
- Test applications across multiple environments, including desktop, mobile devices, browsers, and different screen sizes.
- Verify integrations with external platforms, aggregators, operator systems, and wallet solutions.
- Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system stability during peak usage scenarios.
- Validate random number generator (RNG) functionality and ensure correct system behavior.
- Identify, document, investigate, and analyze defects while providing root-cause insights and improvement recommendations.
- Participate in defining QA strategies, improving testing processes, and promoting quality standards within the team.
- Support less experienced QA engineers through mentoring, technical guidance, test case reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with development teams on code delivery to testing and production environments.
- Monitor system performance after releases and maintain up-to-date testing documentation and guidelines.

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a QA Engineer or similar quality assurance role.
- Strong understanding of QA processes throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
- Experience with test management systems such as TestRail, Zephyr, or similar tools.
- Good understanding of client-server architecture, web technologies, and API testing concepts.
- Experience working with Git-based workflows and platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of iGaming domain concepts, including game mechanics, mathematical models, and player-facing features.
- Experience testing real-time systems, communication protocols, and data transfer processes.
- Familiarity with traffic interception and analysis tools.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitLab CI or similar solutions.
- Ability to use SQL for database-level data verification and validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently define testing strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of quality outcomes.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Previous experience testing products in the iGaming industry.
- Ability to read and validate mathematical documentation such as math sheets and paytables.
- Understanding of certification processes and preparation of builds for testing laboratories.
- Experience with performance testing methodologies and tools.
- Previous mentoring or training experience with QA team members.
- Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar technologies.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
