Role Summary

An opportunity for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical leadership, support production and drive manufacturing process improvements within a regulated engineering environment.

Role and Responsibilities of a Senior Manufacturing Engineer

  • Provide senior manufacturing engineering support across Production, Quality, Engineering and Operations.
  • Lead problem-solving, RCCA, CAPA, PFMEA and Zero Defect activities.
  • Deliver continuous improvement projects across safety, quality, cost, delivery, capacity and process efficiency.
  • Coordinate team priorities and deputise for the Manufacturing Engineering Manager when required.
  • Support Capex projects from business case and specification through to installation, validation and handover.
  • Maintain manufacturing documentation, routings, BOMs and ERP master data.
  • Support NPI, engineering changes, tooling and design for manufacture activities.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and support audits, customer reviews and Product Safety activities.

Requirements Of The Role

  • Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent experience within Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer within aerospace or another regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean, Continuous Improvement, RCCA, CAPA and PFMEA.
  • Experience managing engineering improvement projects and controlled manufacturing change.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems and CAD software, ideally SolidWorks.
  • Capex, CNC, Six Sigma or Project Management experience would be advantageous.
