Hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 12:00pm Friday
At Aston Martin, we create some of the world's most beautiful high-performance vehicles. Behind every vehicle is a team of talented engineers dedicated to delivering exceptional quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team at our state-of-the-art St Athan facility.
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in the continuous improvement of our Tub and Body Construction operations, supporting both current production programmes and future vehicle introductions. Working within a collaborative engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering robust manufacturing processes, tooling solutions, quality improvements, and production support activities that ensure our vehicles meet the highest standards of excellence.
This is a varied and hands-on role where you will lead manufacturing projects from concept through to implementation, working closely with Production, Quality, Product Engineering, Logistics, Facilities, and external suppliers. You will be responsible for developing and refining production processes, introducing and commissioning new tooling and equipment, supporting dimensional and quality improvements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing environment.
You will investigate and resolve production-related manufacturing issues, ensure process documentation is maintained to the highest standard, and contribute to facility and layout planning activities that improve efficiency, quality, safety, and operator ergonomics. The role also involves supporting new model introductions and ensuring seamless integration of product changes into the production environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
