Job Description

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling is a world-renowned manufacturer committed to revolutionising the way materials are moved—from port to home. We design, engineer, produce, and support a full range of lift trucks, attachments, and power and technology solutions, primarily under the trusted Hyster® and Yale® brands.

As one of the largest lift truck manufacturers globally, we are dedicated to delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions while maintaining exceptional service standards.

We are currently seeking a SENIOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER (NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTION) to join our New Product Introduction team at our Craigavon facility in Northern Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of new designs within our Assembly processes, the development and embedding of best practice Lean manufacturing processes and related systems and supporting general Manufacturing Engineering activities.

This position combines operational engineering responsibilities typical for an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer, along with providing measurable cost improvements, controlling budgets assigned within AOP targets, leading cross functional meetings, leading and managing projects, delegating actions and team co-ordination when opportunities arise.

Key Accountabilities

  • New Product Introduction (NPI)
    • Responsibility for NPI introductions from Virtual Build to SOP for Assembly, with zero negative impact on Product Flow, working to the standards required of HYPull, including creating all work instructions documentation required.
    • Planning and Co-ordination of New Product/ Review Gate projects from concept to implementation.
    • Liaise cross functionally to identify and drive changes to new products to ensure design for manufacture is achieved.
    • Leading specific Manufacturing Engineering sub tasks from initiation to conclusion including organising teams, planning, tracking, delegating and meeting milestones on time within cost targets.
    • Working with global departments to ensure that new designs are implemented in a safe and efficient manner with a focus on the best product quality for the end user.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
