Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Cardiff
Salary: Circa £55,000 + 10% Bonus
Hours: Monday – Friday

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading and well-established manufacturing business based in Cardiff. With continued investment, growth and the introduction of new technology across the site, the business is looking to strengthen its engineering team with a hands-on Senior Manufacturing Engineer who can support both existing operations and future improvement projects.

Working closely with Engineering, Production and Operations, you will play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, introducing new and automated equipment, troubleshooting technical issues and driving improvements across safety, quality, efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the introduction, installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment and technology.
  • Drive improvements across manufacturing processes, equipment performance, OEE and efficiency.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support and technical problem-solving across the site.
  • Support automation, digitalisation and process improvement projects.
  • Work cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality and wider Engineering teams.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement and support the delivery of site investment projects.

About You:

  • Experienced Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, Process Engineer or similar within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on engineering and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment and production machinery.
  • Electrical qualifications or a strong electrical engineering background would be highly advantageous.
  • Exposure to equipment installation, commissioning, process optimisation or CAPEX projects.
  • Comfortable working closely with production teams in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing experience would be beneficial.
